Our Pastor Doug Ellis

Hello, and Welcome to the Gospel Light Baptist Church website! I am Pastor Doug Ellis.

In October 2008, the Lord led my family and I to plant Gospel Light Baptist Church (an independent baptist church) in Roanoke, Texas! Seeking God’s direction, we began services in a storefront located in Roanoke Center. Today we are located on the hilltop. Our church sits on the highest point in Roanoke Texas overlooking Hwy 114.

The view reminds us of the multitudes who need to hear about Jesus. 

Matthew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”
